Hailing from Vancouver, BC, Star Captains is a dynamic band featuring keyboardist Max Zipursky, vocalist NaRai, guitarist/bassist Gavin Youngash, live controllerist Daniel Child, and guitarist Jim Black. Since their debut album, New Freedoms (2013), they have captivated audiences with their infectious grooves and musicality. Their sophomore album, Lightwork (2019), further showcased their talent, and their highly anticipated third album, Tidal Waves, is set to be released in 2024. Notable performances include TEDx Vancouver, George Stroumboulopoulos Show, Vancouver Jazz Fest, and Surrey Fusion Fest, where their unforgettable live shows have left a lasting impression.
