Dan Snakehead + Friends

  • 150 Fulford-Ganges Road Ganges, BC, V8K 2T8 Canada (map)

Newly residing on Salt Spring, Michael Gump aka DJ Gumption has been integral behind the scenes on the west coast for years and his latest opus Back to Basics taunts an old school line up that shows off those deep roots. Having finally picked up some decks, his eclectic tastes are sure to shine through on the one's and two's from 8pm until 9pm.

Then at 9pm the elusive "Glitch Mekanik" returns to public performance after nearly a 20 year hiatus. Having had multiple residencies over the years out east, this GM of bass is eager to get back to it and bring his patent sound ashore to move the feet and hearts of our beloved Mateada crowd for an evening.

At 10pm the one and only Nathan Wood AKA "Hyperlynx' makes his Salt Spring debut. Easily a top ten Canadian Drum & Bass producer and one third of the infamous new D&B trio PsyOps, Nathan is excited to test his skill set for Mateada's unique dance floor for a night. Leaving behind his Victoria residency at Pinhalla and production office at PK Sound headquarters, we are in for a treat with this undeniable talent...

...and finally, closing the night from 11pm - Midnight, local legend, the one and only Cassidy Turner "AKA" Dan Snakehead headlines our night of rollers, liquid, and halftime Drum & Bass. Known for a heavier sound and being an industry staple in the festival roster, Dan Snakehead promises a different approach with a softer and gentler vibe showcasing the more soulful side of this year's freshest D&B.
