Sophia had a lengthy career as a dynamic R&B artist before relocating to the island recently to raise her tiny little one. With a brand new album under her belt, not yet released to the world, she will be joined by some of the island’s musicians to bring a sexy, soulful and empowering evening to Mateada on Thursday, August 31st.

With a mesmerizing blend of R&B, jazz, and hip hop, Sophia Danai exudes an aura of soulful, sexy, and empowering musicality. She enchants the audience with honey-like vocals, and her lyricism inspires individuals to embrace their own essence. A gifted songwriter, her compositions reflect raw emotions and authenticity, inviting listeners into her journey. She is currently integrating the worlds of being a new mom and musical artist, this will be her first show back in the community of Saltspring Island, which she now calls home with her family.
