WHAT A BILL!

With her band in support, Che comes to rock Mateada. Support for the evening is Sasha Rose! Read more about both artists below:

Canadian artist Ché Aimee Dorval is no stranger to bending and blending genres into her own unique style. She effortlessly mixes trip-hop, folktronica, and soul with an alt-rock swagger, perfectly packaged under a blanket of raw and magnetic vocals for which she has become known.

Growing up in Vancouver, Ché spent her formative years living the troubadour life, playing local clubs in Vancouver and Toronto, and touring worldwide as a solo artist and with her critically acclaimed band 'Casualties of Cool,' a joint venture with Devin Townsend.

More recently, Ché has collaborated with Juno-nominated EDM duo Young Bombs, sang a darkly lit duet with the late Gord Downey of The Tragically Hip on his posthumously released solo album 'Lustre Parfait,' and was featured on Devin Townsend's latest album ‘Lightwork.'

January 2023 marked the release of Ché Aimee Dorval's highly-anticipated third studio album, 'The Crowned,' to rave reviews. With half of The Crowned's tracks produced by Bob Rock pre-pandemic, and the other half self-produced post-pandemic, this album tells the story of an artist evolution and growth.

In 2023, Ché graced the stages of NXNE, BreakOut West, the East Coast Music Awards, and Rifflandia Festival, and opened for acclaimed acts including Run the Jewels, Chromeo, Bif Naked, and Anneke van Giersbergen. Her journey continues as she gears up for a 15-date tour across the UK and EU in November 2023.
