"David Jacquest will be coming to play his uniquely funky brand of SaltSpring psychedelic rock and folk music, at the Mateada on Saturday April 30th! This appearance will coincide with his 14 track cd retrospective: JACQUEST! newly available on itunes and spotify! 30 years in the making, this concert will feature David Jacquest playing folk and rock songs written in seminal Salt Spring group "Pogo & the Carrot Revolution", all the way to travelogues of the present day! Backed up live by musicians Dave Campbell (of Tom Hooper and the Angry Hippies & Everyday People fame), as well as master percussionist Jordan King, "JACQUEST!" will feature new takes on old blues and r & b tunes and take you on improvisational journeys where few dare to tread and emerge unscathed!
